High-Performance Charging Booster for Optimal Battery Charging
The VCC 1212-30 charging booster from Votronic offers a variety of features to ensure optimal charging of your vehicle battery. With high charging power, regardless of the distance traveled, it enables a full charge during longer journeys and ensures efficient charging even on short trips. Thanks to its ability to adjust the voltage to the required level, it charges the onboard battery precisely according to the optimal charging curve. It fully compensates for line losses and voltage fluctuations of the alternator, especially in vehicles with intelligent alternators.
The charger impresses with its compact design, low weight, and powerful components that ensure safe operation. It significantly improves the energy balance of the onboard battery without affecting the starter circuit. Moreover, it protects connected 12-V consumers from overvoltage and voltage fluctuations. By precisely regulating the charging voltage, peaks are avoided, and overcharging of the batteries is excluded. The charger operates fully automatically and is permanently connected to the batteries. It automatically activates when the vehicle's alternator is running and does not discharge the batteries when the engine is off. The device allows parallel and buffer operation, so the battery continues to charge or is fully maintained even when consumption is simultaneous. The calculation and monitoring of charging times occur automatically.
Multiple protection against overload, overheating, overvoltage, short circuit, malfunction, and battery back-discharge through electronic regulation provides added safety. It is possible to operate the device in parallel with other charging sources and it automatically compensates for voltage losses on the charging cables. Additionally, it features a connection for a battery temperature sensor (included), which automatically adjusts the charging voltage to the battery temperature. This ensures better full charging at cold temperatures and avoids unnecessary battery gassing at summer temperatures. The charger also offers battery protection for LiFePO4 batteries, especially at low temperatures below 0 °C. Finally, it provides charging assistance for deeply discharged lead-acid batteries. It pre-charges the battery gently until it reaches a value of 8 V and then powerfully supports the battery, even if consumers are still switched on.
