Verification of the authenticity of customer reviews
Information obligations pursuant to Section 5b (3) of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG)
Every consumer review is checked for authenticity before publication to ensure that reviews originate only from consumers who have actually purchased/used the reviewed products.
The verification takes place
- through manual verification by matching the review with the order history in the merchandise management system, so that a review is published only if a previous product purchase has actually taken place;
- through the transmission of individualized links after an order has been completed. These lead to an online review form and ensure that access to the review function is granted only to consumers who have actually purchased a product;
- by enabling review submission only after logging into a registered customer account through which a purchase has been made.
