Anaerobic adhesives

Anaerobic adhesives are specialised adhesives that cure in the absence of oxygen and upon contact with metallic surfaces. Frequently used for securing screws, they reliably prevent joints from coming loose of their own accord due to vibrations or thermal expansion. Applying the adhesive to the thread creates a strong, permanent bond once the parts are screwed together, whilst still allowing the assembly to be dismantled if necessary.
