Each individual part is manufactured using the pultrusion process and consists of glass fiber in combination with an epoxy resin matrix. All fibers run unidirectionally in the longitudinal direction. The material is particularly suitable as a weight-saving reinforcement for various components and for constructions where high flexibility and tensile strength are desired. Thus, this material is an excellent replacement for materials such as wood or conventional plastics. Applications can be found, for example, in the fields of aviation, aerospace, automotive construction, boat building, model making, kite making, sports equipment manufacturing, racing, and tuning.
