The Deans Ultra Plug type connectors are made of gold-plated brass. The gold plating enhances conductivity and corrosion resistance, reducing burn-off from frequent plugging and unplugging, which positively impacts lifespan. With only 0,45 mOhm, the electrical resistance of the connector is very low, allowing for a short-term current load capacity of up to 50 A. To achieve this performance potential, the use of high-quality silicone cables with copper strands of 12 AWG or a diameter of 4 mm² is recommended. The housing and sockets of the Deans Ultra Plug system are made of impact-resistant nylon that remains temperature-resistant during soldering and does not deform easily.
